Boxercise & Kickboxing
are exercise forms that are developed through an amalgamation of boxing,
martial arts and aerobics.
They usually utilize a variety of kicks, punches, knee
strikes and other self defense moves to develop one's cardiovascular fitness, muscle tone, muscular endurance
and flexibility.
There are also both Contact forms and Non-Contact
forms of the sport as well.
In Contact Boxercise/Kickboxing, the
training
involves the kicking and punching of punch bags, kick shields and focus
mitts. Some classes also involve partner-to-partner sparring or fighting.
On the other hand, in Non-Contact
Boxercise/Kickboxing, as the name suggests, all drills are performed entirely
contactless, with punches/kicks/strikes thrown into the air,
without actually contacting or striking anything/anyone. Some of the more
